Tyketto was formed in 1987 in New York by former WAYSTED singer Danny Vaughn and the band’s music can be summed up as a conglomerate of Bon Jovi and Whitesnake without going completely wrong musically.
Classic hard rock with a very melodic touch. The rather fantastic debut album “Don’t Come Easy” was released in 1991, but like many other classic hard rock bands, Tyketto became yet another victim of the Grunge that swept the world like a plague and unfortunately there was more than one band that released terrible records in the early 90’s – speech that never managed to cement its rightful place in music history.
A second record, “Strength in Numbers” saw the light of day in 1994 before Danny Vaughn left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Steve Augeri and the record “Shine” with Augeri was released in 1995 but did not appeal to the old crowd as it sounded very different to the first two albums.
To make a long story short Tyketto reunited with Danny Vaughn in 2009 and in 2012 the album “Dig Down Deep” was released followed by the record “Reach” in 2016. The band has now been going since 2009, but has been touring very sparingly and it’s with pride we can now present this awesome rock band at Rocknytt Cruise.
